Happiness blooms from within 🌻
What does it mean to be happy? This is a question I have been reflecting on a lot in 2020.
While happiness looks a little different to everyone, I truly believe is that only you can truly make yourself happy. I believe we all fall victim to relying on external factors to feed our happiness at times. I know I definitely do!

Lately, I’ve really been struggling with not being able to travel like we’ve become accustom to over the last 3 years. By no means am I complaining, I know I’ve been blessed with so many incredible experiences. It’s just that since the ease of travel has become more complicated due to COVID, I’ve realized more than ever how happy travel makes me. I’ve also realized how much I was relying on travel to fuel my happiness, my creativity & my purpose in life. And while I continue to believe that travel is a part of who I am and something I am called to do, I am learning that I should not solely rely on it or any other external factors for my happiness.

It is a learning process and not something that I have accomplished over night. It’s taken a lot of self talk, praying, reflecting & discussions with @cemiller13 (shoutout to him for reminding & encouraging me to be me💗) to channel my happiness from within. Every day I make a little more progress and remind myself that slow growth is still growth!

I look forward to the days when we can get back to traveling the world again, but for now I’m leaning into this season of change and moving forward with a new mindset and practice of looking for happiness from within.
